"Vertebralis Extraterrestris”

A Fragment of Unknown Origin

This artistic piece presents a fragment of a spine that could belong to a being of unknown, possibly extraterrestrial origin. Discovered in the desert regions of the southern Andes, in a location considered sacred by local communities due to legends of "visitors from the stars," the artifact’s estimated age of 50,000 years and its unusual anatomical features distinguish it from anything known to humanity.

The creation of this model is an attempt to reconstruct a being whose physiology may have developed in an environment vastly different from Earth—perhaps in conditions of higher gravity or with different atmospheric compositions. The fragment consists of seven vertebrae that, while reminiscent of a human spine, possess features that raise questions about their function and origin. The intricate hooked appendages, double spinous processes, and reinforced openings suggest that the organism had an incredibly advanced musculature, allowing it to bear great loads and perform complex movements.

This work invites reflection not only on the potential for life beyond Earth but also on the diversity of forms life may take under different environmental pressures. The model seeks to visualize what remains might look like from a civilization or being that developed in an alien environment. Inspired by archaeological speculation, this piece aims to provoke thought about the mysteries of the universe and how little we know about the possible forms of life that could exist.
